Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Milling is how Pacific Die Casting begins shaping blocks of steel into the desired mold shapes. CNC mills can perform the functions of drilling and milling. The CNC Mills at PDC are controlled by sophisticated network of computers.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Milling is how Pacific Die Casting begins shaping blocks of steel into the desired mold shapes. CNC mills can perform the functions of drilling and milling. The CNC Mills at PDC are controlled by sophisticated network of computers. The 3D mold Solidworks mold file is converted into Surfcam file which plots the 3D mold on an x, y, and z graph, giving coordinates to the required cuts. These coordinates control the CNC Mills according to the axes that they possess. Axes are labeled as x and y for horizontal movement, and z for vertical movement.

Zinc Alloys Suitable for Hot Chamber Pressure Die Casting
Zinc alloys have excellent physical and mechanical properties. They are resistant to corrosion and wear and tear, durable, as well as rigid. Their properties make them suitable for die casting, but some alloys are more suitable than others. Here are the best ones foundries use to make die cast components, including those with intricate geometric [...]
Main Properties of Zinc Alloys Used in Die Casting
The four zinc alloys used to make die cast components are Alloys 2, 3 and 5, as well as ZA 8. Analyzing the properties of these alloys is possible only following the identification of the product’s main characteristics. Following is a look in detail at the properties of zinc alloys. Castability The above-mentioned alloys have [...]
Why Zinc Die Casting is Used for Automotive Components
Why Zinc Die Casting is Used for Automotive Components The zinc die casting process is widely used for making components in industrial and building sectors, but the most common application of it is in the automotive industry. In fact, automobiles have different components that can be made by means of zinc die casting, so much [...]
Positives of Choosing Die Casting
